Public Respect (“the Platform”) respects the intellectual property and personality rights of others. We operate as a decentralized, user-generated directory and reputation protocol. Under applicable laws (including Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act - USA)(including Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 - India and the DMCA), we maintain a neutral intermediary status.

If you believe that your likeness, name, or copyrighted work has been used on the Platform in a way that constitutes infringement or unauthorized impersonation, please follow the procedures below.

Before filing a formal Takedown Notice, we encourage public figures and creators to use our "Claim Profile" feature. This allows the rightful owner to:

• Assume full control of the profile and its data.
• Receive 90% of the accumulated Respect earned by the community (with 10% awarded to the original Scout as a discovery bounty).
• Correct any inaccuracies while maintaining the positive social capital already built by the community.

If you do not wish to claim the profile and instead require its removal, you must provide a formal "Notice of Infringement" to our designated agent at info@publicrespect.com. Your notice must include:

1. Identification of the Subject: The name and specific URL of the profile in question.
2. Proof of Identity: A valid government-issued ID or official representation authorization (if acting on behalf of a celebrity or organization).
3. Statement of Infringement: A clear explanation of why the profile or linked content violates your rights (e.g., malicious impersonation, copyright infringement, or unauthorized use of likeness).
4. Good Faith Belief: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the owner or the law.
5. Accuracy Statement: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate.
6. Contact Information: Your physical address, telephone number, and email address.

• Intermediary Protection: Upon receipt of a valid, complete notice, Public Respect will act expeditiously to investigate and, if necessary, remove or disable access to the infringing content.
• Neutrality: Public Respect does not act as a judge in disputes. If a profile is removed, the "Scout" who created it may be notified.
• Abuse of Takedowns: Any person who knowingly misrepresents that content is infringing may be liable for damages and could be barred from the Platform.
